Buying

  • Do you represent home buyers?
I do. I’d be happy to help you purchase a home here in the greater Tucson area.
  • How much does it cost to have you represent me?
Usually, nothing. Nearly always, my compensation comes from the listing agent, and we’ll discuss ahead of time if that isn’t the case. My brokerage is going to charge you $199 to do business with them, and I can’t waive that, but you’ll only pay it if you sucessfully close on a home, and it just gets added to your closing costs.
  • So if the listing agent pays you, are you really representing me?
Yup. As an agent and a Realtor, I am not only bound by law, but by a code of ethics to put your best interests ahead of my own, and to represent your side in the transaction to the best of my ability. In the long run, it’s better for me to make you happy then to try and squeeze some extra bucks out of the transaction. At least, that’s how I see it.
  • How do we get started?
Send me an email or call, and we’ll set an appointment to talk. For my own safety, I require that you meet me at an office or public place before we see homes, and you should also get a loan pre-approval, if you’ll be needing a loan to buy.

Selling

  • Do you represent home sellers?
I do. I’d be happy to help you sell a home here in the greater Tucson area.
  • How much does it cost to have you list my house?
Well, that depends on a variety of factors! I’d be happy to discuss that with you. Send me an email and we can make an appointment.
  • What is your marketing plan?
I do extensive online marketing, as well as inter-agent networking, lots of other things. I’ll be putting a summary on the site shortly, but for now, you’ll have to email me to get the full scoop.

MLS Search

  • Are these all your listings?
No, the MLS search is a copy of the Tucson MLS data, presented in my own special map interface. My listings are among those, but those are every agent’s listings in Tucson combined.
  • How does this thing work?
Click on the buttons on the upper right to change the search criteria and to navigate forward and backward through the information.
  • I’m having trouble using the search.
Then I want to fix that! Send me an email describing your problem with as much detail as you can, with your contact information, and we’ll get that straightened out.
  • Are there more pictures?
What you see is straight from the MLS, so I can only show you the pictures that have been loaded into the MLS.

Statistics

  • Who generates these statistics?
I do, based on data within the local Tucson MLS. I pull and compile my own numbers.
  • Where does the data come from?
It comes out of the Tucson MLS system.
  • How often are they updated?
Statistics here are updated roughly once per month.
  • I’ve found an error. Where should I report that?
Please click my name at the top of the page to report any errors you find.
  • I don’t understand these charts. Help!
I’m happy to answer questions. Send me an email about your questions, and I’ll see if we can get those answered.
  • How do I get charts like this for my neighborhood?
Because pulling all of these statistics is a very manual process, I can’t produce consistent neighborhood reports for the whole city. However, if you’re thinking about selling your home or buying in a specific area, and hire me as your agent, I’d be happy to produce these kinds of reports just for you and your neighborhood.
